We can supply small samples of the materials we use to manufacture our worktops with the different finishes we offer. These can be ordered by completing the link on the home page. If you would like a sample of the finished worktop, including the core material, please note there is a charge for this. Contact sales@mpm-eng.co.uk for more information.
A template is an exact replica of the required worktop. Taking all accurate measurements of the kitchen units and cut out positions for hobs and sinks, all the shaping and overhang required. This is then used to manufacture the worktops ensuring precise and accurate cutting for a perfect work surface installation.
Beware of some companies who claim they do not need to template before fitting, and cut on site using mobile equipment on the installation day.

Before the survey, please ensure all cabinets are level, have sufficient braces and are secured firmly to the wall. Make sure you know the final location of sinks, hobs, taps or any other fittings required and have these available on site. Please ensure after the survey, cabinets are not moved as the measurements taken during the survey are crucial for a perfect worktop installation. Any changes after the survey can cause significant delays and incur extra charges.
Yes, your existing worktops need to be removed before we come to template. We do not carry out any removal work so the room needs to be clear and ready prior to our arrival.
Please note, when we return to install the new worktops, the existing worktops need to be removed. Sinks, taps, hobs and electrical sockets should all be disconnected before we arrive to fit.
No, this needs to be done before templating. Tiling should be done after the worktops have been installed.
Yes, you need to be on-site to confirm cut out positions, overhangs and joint positions, as well as to answer any questions we might have and sign off the templates. The same applies for fitting.
We normally deliver and fit worktops within 25 working days (this can increase during busy periods) after the survey.

The price in the email quote you receive is an accurate guide price based on the spec given to us, it will only change if/when we come out to template and/or the measurements and your requirements change from the original email quote.
An initial deposit of 40% is required when you place the order. A remaining 60% is required after we have templated and just before we deliver the product.
